Ever wanted to know what your live set sounds like. Or would you like to release a live recording to your fans. Our mobile rig can track you during a live performance for later mixing.
We can set-up our equipment to record you in any venue that brings all the stage sound sources into the desk and then provides them on what's called Direct Outs. Of course we'll need permission from the venue as well!
Recording
As each channel comes into the desk from the stage it is copied and sent straight back out to our recording system. The quality of the recording depends heavily on the quality of the house equipment and the skill of the live sound engineer. Its also worth remembering that what you hear in the venue is provided by the house PA system which is usually geared towards power instead of fidelity. The sound passing through the desk, and therefore into our recording, is usually of a much higher quality.
Mixing
Once recording is done we'll pack up and take the material to our mixing studio where everything we'll process each channel and clean it up to get the best results we can. Mixing is not charged on top of the recording fee, we'll just mix until its done! After mixing, we can then edit tracks to reduce breaks between songs for instance or even reorder songs as though you played them in a completely different order! Once its mixed and edited, you can take it as is or have it 'Mastered' by us free of charge. (See
Mastering for more details...)
Equipment
Recording is centered around our mobile Pro Tools rig and the project is mixed in our Mixing studio with all our tools available.
